Coming September 2009... Baby Hooper!

This was Eric's expression when I told him we were going to have a baby. He says, "Shock and Relief" sums it up.

We found out December 27th but have kept the news to ourselves for quite a while. Now the word is out and we hope to keep everyone posted with this blog about our little peanut.

It was surreal the first few weeks and I kept thinking I would wake up sick any day. I was lucky and dodged the morning sickness. I did have a small battle with gall stones but I've figured out that as long as I stay away from peanuts and other nuts I feel great.

Eric and I saw the first ultrasound together on February 2nd. The nurse called him "dad" and he still can't get over that! The ultrasound was amazing. I didn't realize how real the baby would look at only 9 weeks pregnant. I've since heard the heart beat and it is beating at 160 beats per minute. I visited the doctor on Tuesday and doc says baby is wonderful. I'm starting to get a little belly and pants are quite snug. Pregnancy is amazing and better than I could have imagined. It is going by fast. I look forward to keeping everyone updated on our peanut and re-capping some of the best memories of the last 16 weeks.
